A New Outdoor Community
There’s nothing this planet has to offer that I cherish more than the Great Outdoors. Maybe it’s the connection I feel to my late Grandfather who dedicated hundreds of hours of his time to me when I was a boy. He taught about hunting and fishing and really ignited my passion for the forests of North America. I didn’t have the greatest childhood. There was no father worth mentioning and being an awkward kid attracted a lot of bullies. The Outdoors was my safe haven. It was my escape.
I’d like to tell my stories here and see where it goes from there. Some will be end good and others not so good. Everything will be true…okay most everything…just kidding. I’m 45 now and have half a lifetime of memories. It seems I go to the woods just as much these days for nostalgia as I do for the thrill of a new hunt. I have a son now I am hope I can pass on just a fraction of the joy my grandfather gave me to him.
I welcome anyone else who’d like to tell their own stories.
